Public dossier / documented account

Documented observations and request for review.

This concise dossier brings together my first-person account, author-supplied photographs and links to public third-party sources so that hotel management and the competent tourism authorities can review the matter efficiently.

01

Purpose and intended recipients

The document separates what I personally experienced, what is visible in my photographs and what other guests published on external platforms.

For hotel management

I request a written, point-by-point response and information about whether the documented physical conditions have since been inspected or remedied.

For the tourism authority

I ask the competent authority to decide, within its own powers and procedures, whether the account and photographs warrant any additional check. This dossier does not presume that a breach occurred.

Executive summary

  1. I personally perceived a persistent damp smell in the assigned room and photographed visible dark spotting beside a ventilation grille and marks on the mattress.
  2. Around the water-play structures I photographed rust-coloured corrosion, worn coatings, projecting metal parts or seams that appeared sharp to me, deposits and material apparently secured with plastic cable ties.
  3. In shared areas I photographed a taped-off slide opening, used cups, worn artificial turf, a broken receptacle with cigarette ends, condensation and weathered timber with a projecting fastener.
  4. My account also records meal-clearing times, limited snack choices, slopes and stairs, crowding and difficulty finding seats or loungers together.

Issues and supporting record

Each finding below is classified by its source. Photographic captions describe only what is visible; service and access points are first-person recollections.

Assigned room: damp smell and visible conditions

During the stay I perceived a persistent damp smell. The photographs show dark spotting beside the ventilation grille, marks on the mattress, uneven-looking shower-floor joints and residue on the shower-rail fitting. The dark spotting was not technically tested or identified, and the photographs do not establish the cause of the smell.

Slides and surrounding structures

The photographs show rust-coloured corrosion on railings, posts, brackets and fixings; worn coatings; projecting bracket ends and exposed seams that appeared sharp to me; deposits and pieces of material apparently held to two brackets with plastic cable ties. This is a visual record, not an engineering or safety assessment.

04 / ALL-INCLUSIVE SERVICE · PERSONAL ACCOUNT

Meals and between-meal offering

I observed dinner food being cleared at about 21:30 and breakfast clearing beginning at about 10:15 despite breakfast being presented to us as available until 10:30. Between meals I saw fountain drinks, tub-served ice cream, hot dogs and chips; I did not see fresh fruit among the snack options available to us.

05 / ACCESS AND CROWDING · PERSONAL ACCOUNT

Movement around the complex and finding space

Repeated slopes, levels and stairs made movement with a pushchair and young children tiring for us. At busy times we sometimes struggled to find loungers and seats together, and the pool and dining areas felt crowded to us.
